Servogear to deliver hybrid CPP propulsion system for 39-meter catamaran
Servogear has signed a contract with Oma Baatbyggeri for the delivery of a CPP propulsion system for a new 39-meter sightseeing catamaran.
The project builds on the existing cooperation between the companies. The vessel will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion setup, combining two mtu 10V2000 M72 diesel engines with Servogear’s Ecoflow Propulsor system.
The delivery includes the new HD295 PTI V gearboxes and two 1.4-meter propellers, designed for efficient operation with low noise and reduced fuel consumption. Ecoflow Propulsor™ is an integrated controllable pitch propeller (CPP) system where all components are optimized to work as one, converting more engine power into thrust.
The catamaran is intended for sightseeing and designed to accommodate approx. 300 passengers.
The hybrid propulsion solution supports a reduced environmental footprint, and a prolonged time between overhaul of the mtu engines.
The mtu engines will be supplied by BOS Power Norway under a separate contract with Oma Baatbyggeri.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for April 2027.
